Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 97 Aurora Climate Control Possessed, body control module, climate control

Question
When I turn my Aurora off, the climate control stays on and
displays hieroglyphics and flickers between F and C.  Eventually
it drains the battery.  Also the volts icon stays on.  When driving,
the Traction Off lights up and the switch doesn't work.  Finally,
the driver's heater switch stays on for about a second that cuts
off.  Any ideas?

HI PETER, YES POSSIBLY A  BCM. {BODY CONTROL MODULE} THIS MODULE CONTROLS ALL THE EQUIPTMENT THAT IS NOT CONTROLLED OR NEEDED BY THE ENGINE.A FAILURE OF THIS MODULE WILL CAUSE SOME UNUSUAL ELEC PROBS SUCH AS YOU HAVE DESCRIBED.AS FAR AS THE SEAT THE SWITCH IS DESIGNED THAT IF THE HEATER STRIP SHORTS OR SIMPLY PULLS TOO MANY AMPS TO KICK OFF.SO MOST LIKELY A BAD HEATER.GOOD LUCK HOPE THIS HELPS TY PLEASE VOTE FOR ME  BILLYMAC
