Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: gauge malfunction, pontiac grandam, gas gauge

1996 pontiac grandam 3.1 sorry about the pontiac but there were no experts in that category.
gas gauge stuck on empty, heat gauge stuck on freezing, tachometer is maxed along with the speedometer? is this a problem with the cluster or perhaps a bad ground. one morning this week my battery was dead and when the juice hit it on the recharge attempt the heat and gas gauge worked momentarily then back to there usual state. if there is anything you know about my problem your advice would be appreciated...

hi josh,and it is ok i also have pont experience. yes remove the cluster wiggle plugs see if guages move.if not check all fuses in fuse box.if ok then check all grounds inside car and under hood .check all fusible links.some where in this area you will find your problem good luck. please rate my help ty billymac
