Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Dimmer switch, cutlass supreme, bolts

I have a 1994 cutlass supreme with a bad dimmer switch, the lights are on high and I can not click them to low. How do I replace the switch? Does the steering colum have to be pulled or is the switch under the dash. Any help would be great.

Hello Joey,
The switch is actually on the column and operated by a rod. It may just need adjusted. It is movable.
The column doesn't need to be removed, but it might be easier to work on if you loosen the bolts by the drivers knees, and allow it to drop away some.
