3.1 6 CIL. THE CAR WILL NOT START BUT IF YOU GO UNDER THE HOOD AND BUMP THE STARTER IT WILL ACT IF IS TRYINGTO START BUT IT SOUND AS IF IT OUT OF GASIT WILL STARE BUT GO DEAD AS UF IS GETTING NO GAS DOES THIS CAR HAS A SENSOR

hi cynthia.the car has a lot of sensors.but none that would prevent it from cranking,there is a single wire prob purple that goes to the starter there is two things that will cause either that wire is getting no power from the ignition or a bad neutral safety switch.which is mounted on top of transmission the part that moves when you move the shift selector.hope this helps please rate my help ty billymac
