Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Coil Pack Issues, coil pack, buick lesabre

Question
I have an '89 Buick Lesabre. It just quit running and I found the spark was very weak. We took the coil pack to local supply house and they tested it out and found it to be at fault. After replacing it, the engine started up, ran ok with a little hesitation and rough idle.. I shut it down and it would not restart.. Took the coil pack back and it was bad again. Replaced it, same thing. It started once, then would not start again. So my question is, what would keep blowing out my coil pack?

Thanks in advance!!

Jason
