Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 1997 achieva no start, throttle body injection, pint jar

Question
I have been diagnosing a no start on a 1997 achieva with 2.4L engine. I retrieved a fault code PO-121 TPS. I replaced The TPS and cleared the fault. car still won't start. I replaced a clogged fuel filter and it still won't start. There is fuel getting into the fuel rail although I have not yet checked the fuel pressure. However, if I pour some fuel directly into the intake, the engine will run for about 10 seconds. Do you feel that it could be the fuel pump? what is the specs on fuel pressure? thank you for your time and help

Answer
Hello Paul,
If it has throttle body injection, it should have 13 PSI. If it has MPFI, the pump should supply 45 PSI, if I am not mistaken.
Sounds like you have isolated it to fuel.
Check the fuses.
If you feel like removing the fuel filter again, catch some of the fuel in a clean quart or pint jar. Let it sit a little while, just a few minutes, and see if water forms in the bottom.
