During a recent diognostic test I found out the (oxygen sensor) was bad. If I replace this part could I possible get better gas milage?

Hello Chris,
Did you find that the oxygen sensor was BAD? or did it give an oxygen sensor lean or rich code?
It could be that the oxygen sensor is doing its job properly and sending a signal that the exhaust is off due to some other problem.

But yes, if the oxygen sensor is indeed BAD, replacing it should increase milage, as well as preventing damage to the catalytic converter.
