Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: FWD Transmission, buick park ave, drive axles

Hi I was just wanting to know how big of a job is a fwd transmission remove and replace. I have a 1985 Buick Park ave with v-6 fwd. I have changed late 60's and early 80's transmission so I'm not a complete idiot but these front wheel drives look dificult.

hi steve,well they are pretty difficult,however not impossible as long as you have plenty of time and patience once you remove the drive axles.the rest is just unbolt .so if you have changed one you can change them all.again be sure to allow plenty of time don,t hurry and look the whole job over first and make sure you have all the tools avail.and most of all SAFETY be sure and support the car safely and give yourself plenty of room.good luck please take a min to rate my service ty billymac
