Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Fan is working - heat blower is not, haynes manual, autozone

Hi - I have a 2000 Buick Custom Century.  My AC/Defrost/Vent are all blowing out real well, however, when I turn it over to heat, there is only a slight amount of air coming out of the vents with heat.  Any ideas?  

Additionally, where can I find information on removing my dash so I can put a new stereo in my Buick?  It's very complicated.

Any history with problems with power windows as well?

hi brandee,well sounds like you have a heat exchanger prob .as in the valve that switches from floor to vent or def.usually this is a vacum motor maybe you have heard vacum leaking under the dash possible that a vacum is unplugged.or some kind of restriction in ducts.look under the dash for any hoses not connected if not then the dash will have to be removed..as far as where to get info on dash simple go to your local parts store advance autozone etc.ask for a haynes manual for this car .you will find pretty detailed instructions in there..please take a sec of your time to rate my service it is important to us.ty billymac
