Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: antilock light, emery cloth, answer check

Question
Brake fluid fine. High light is out. The bulbs are fine & there is continuity through the contacts of the bulb holding fixture. There is 12 volts flowing through the tailgate contacts. There seems to be resistance through the contact strip that carries the current from the power contacts through to the bulbs. I tried cleaning them with some emery cloth but it didn't help, so i am going to try replacing that strip. Am i barking up the right tree?-------------------------

Answer
Hi Bill,
I honestly don't know. It is just that I have a Cutlass, and searched everywhere for the problems,(cruise also didn't work).
Nobody had any ideas other than to say wheel sensor.
I accidentally discovered the hi stop light was burned out.
After fixing that, everything worked fine.
I even replaced the working bulbs with blown ones again to test, and sure enough, the blown bulbs were the only problem.
Somewhere there you need a ground also for those bulbs, and I doubt the hinge is good enough.
