Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: oil pump, buick century, oil pump

Hi I have a 89 Buick Century the oil pump happens to have blew up it is a 2.5 liter now i was wondering do u know what the A frame is and what all has to be dissconected to get the oil pan off also what is the part called that involves the gears for the oil pump (Gear Housing?) Hope you cqan help me Thanks Much Angie.....:)

hi angie.. well i am afraid you got some maj probs with this car.if oil pump went out yhere has already been eng damage.and just a new pump is only a band aid and won,t last long,.but anyway the a frame us connected to the ball joint on one end and bolted to the eng cradle at the other. and to get the oil pan off take the exhaust pipe off take the starter off first unhook the batt.take the torque cover off from bottom of trans.take all the bolts out of oil pan drop it out .good luck angie please take time to rate us  billy mac
