Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: buick horn button repair in the steering wheel, buick lesabre, horn button

1994 buick lesabre the horn blows any time especialy in the summer. sometimes it would stop if you just tap the horn pat. it does have air bags! could it be just a spring in the steering wheel.

Hi David,
It could be the spring, or the wire. Since the contact in the wheel completes the ground circuit, anything that would cause the wire to complete a circuit to ground in the column would blow the horn.
A bad horn relay could also do it, but if tapping the wheel fixes it, I would expect it to be there.
