Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: oil pressure, buick lesabre, 3800 v6

hi pete. i have a 1997 buick lesabre - 3800 v6. this car always had excellent oil pressure. but lately the pressure gauge keeps dropping down almost to the red line. i would like to check the sending unit, but i can barely get to it. is there an easy way to check this unit? do you have any thoughts on why my oil pressure would start acting this way. help!! thanks  - jerry

thire is no easy way to get to the sender . i dout it very much if it is the sender i would say the oil pump is weak and shoule be changed . it does happen if u need more help please let me know and i will be here a diagnostic test would pick up the senser or the oil pump good way to go
