Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Internal Knocking, olds cutlass supreme, olds cutlass

I have a '91 olds cutlass supreme with the 3.1 v6
and there is a knocking noise it might be a rod:'/ ....or a rocker arm... I would like to know is it repairable or should i junk it.  The knocking is not constant although it is getting louder and more frequent. please help?

I would have a shop listlen to the knock they can tell u if it is a rod or smethig minnor it sound like a rod to me and that case the motor would have to be changed with a rebult and that is costly . on less u went a good used motor out of a sallagve yard pete
