Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: no start, olds cutlass, crank sensor

i have a 1989 olds cutlass sierra cruiser sl with a 3.3.it starts good and stays running without any hesitation problems or anything until i shut it off...then it takes about an hour and a half to get it started again..i got the battery and alt. checked and they are fine.could you please point me in the right direction..thank you very much..Rye

I would check to see if it is getting fuel, either by seeing fuel squirt into the manifold, or pressure tester, etc. May be a vaporlock, which could be from a line too close to a exhaust part.
Could also be a heat induced electronic intermittent, like a crank sensor, or the temp sensor.
If there is fuel getting to the engine while cranking, spark needs to be checked, which can be done with a spare spark plug.
Narrow it down to lack of fuel, or lack of spark, and go from there.
