Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Oldsmobile Alero 1999, oldsmobile alero, snow pile

Question
I am a college student, I live on campus in the dorms which means I have to leave my car in the parking lot.  Over the weekend we got a ton of snow and my car was plowed in.  It was warm yesterday so the snow pile turned to ice.  I backed my car out over top of the snow pile and I got stuck.  I managed to back my car out but now when I hit the gas petal my car seems to run louder and shake.  I was wonder if it has something to do with my muffler or if I might have just gotten some ice stuck up underneith.  The noise seems to be coming from the front of the vechicle.  I am an nervous about going to a machanic right away because I don't know anything about cars.  An advice would help.  Thank you
