Pontiac Repair: transmission

i have a 2002 pontiac grand prix gtp 40th anv, hesitates when shifting first to second, etc. good fluid level, any idea

Hey Tim:
define hesitates? There is a delay in the up shift? it neutrals out meaning there is nothing there for a split second or does it flair when it shifts meaning the rpm's spike in between gears?  what ever issue it may be there is nothing you can do to fix it it's a totally electronic transmission and there are no adjustments that can be made something is worn out or broken. possibly a band for second gear? I'm really not a transmission guy. usually that transmission breaks you loose all forward hears or 3'rd gear not what your talking about.
