Where is the oil pressure switch on a 2001 Pontiac Montana V6 engine and how to change it.  Thanks.

Hi Terry;

it's on the left side of the engine block (front of the van) between the starter motor and exhaust manifold. You need a special oil sender socket to remove it. essentially it's just a deep well socket. just unplug the wire harness going to it remove the old switch. apply stread sealent to the new switch's thread and install it in the block. Do not over tighten it. Good luck :-)
