Pontiac Repair: 1996 Grand prix, turn signal switch, rear lamps

I own a 1996 Grand prix, engine 1300 and half of my brake lights work and my parking lights do not work. The bulbs and fuse is good. My dad has tried everything he knows to fix it and nothing has worked.

Hi casey:

do the turn siganls work of the 4 way fashers? If thse don't work on that side of the car it's a good chance you have a turn siganl switch that is bad the brake lights go though the turn signal switch. another thing could be a bad ground wire for the rear lamps on thatside of the car that the lights don't work on. With out seeing it I can't tell you for sure what the issue is. good luck :-)
