Pontiac Repair: HORMONIC BALANCER, steering wheel puller, 3800 engine

I HAVE A 97 PONTIAC WITH THE HIME .AND MY PULLEY I HAVE WILL NOT GO ON TO TAKE THE BALANCER OFF..I HAVE THE 3 CLAW AND THE Y PULLEY THING BUT DONT WORK.I NEED TO GET IT OFF..HELP ME

what car and engine is this? if it's a 3800 engine there is a special puller you need for it the 3 jaw version will not work. some of the big box auto parts stores have tool rentals You need one that looks like a steering wheel puller with long boths that go through the pulley and grab obn to the hub part of the balancer behind the pulley. that is if it's a 3800 V6
