Pontiac Repair: Starter question..., hidden steps, rust belt

Question
Mr. Puccio,
I've got a 2001 Buick LeSabre with the V6 engine.
Is it hard to replace a starter on this car?  I have replaced starters on other cars before where all you have to do is disconnect the battery, take the wires off the old starter (usually there's a plug, but if not...just remember where they go), remove the old starter (usually only two or three bolts, and then install the new starter. (In reverse order.)
Is it more complicated than that?  Is there anything else you have to take off in order to GET to the starter to replace it?
Any suggestions...guidance...greatly appreciated.
Warm regards,
David Gardner

Answer
Hi David:

You just nailed it. That is exactly what you need to do to replace it on this car. No hidden steps it's very straight forward on this car. Just make sure you don't snap off the bolts for the starter in the engine block. back them off slowly. If you don't live in the rust belt part of the world you will not have any issues. good luck :-)
