QUESTION: Where do you find the neutral safety switch on a 2001 pontiac aztek?

ANSWER: Hi Todd:

it's on top of the trasnmission. where the shifter linkage goes on. you need to take the cable off the shift lever and then the lever off the shift shaft there are 2 bolts that hold it onto the the transmission and it pull up and off the sift shaft. good luck :-)

No not really it's in a bit of a tight spot. You may need to clean the shaft up with some fine sand paper to get the switch to pull off of it. if you live in the rust belt like I do they get pretty crusty looking. a few sprays of penetrating oil will help to get it off as well. a small bent arm pry bar under the switch may aid it getting it to move too.
