Pontiac Repair: front right brakes on 92 sunbird, back pad, brake hose

Question
I just replaced the front brakes on my 92 sunbird, when I took the pads off the right side, noticed that the back pad was melted to the caliper, I replaced the caliper and rotor on that side along with the pads. A week later that same side pads are grinding on the rotor, and now need knew pads and rotor on that side again. What would cause this, maybe the wheel bearing?

Answer
Hi kenny:

well something is keeping the brakes applied on that side. possible a brake hose is heeping pressure in the caliper and not allowing it to release. Or possibly a Master cylinder is keeping the caliper applied. replace the pads and rotos again jack the front wheels up support the front on jack stands put the car in neutral and apply the brakes and see in the r/f can be tuned afyter a few applies If not crack open the bleeder and see in the wheel turns then if so something is keeping pressure in the system. then back your way up though the system apply the brakes again and try it again and crack the brak line where the hose attaches and see what happens keep working your way back untill you get to the master cylinder. stop hen you find where the obstruction is keeping pressure in the system. good luck :-)
