Pontiac Repair: Replace rear shocks on 2005 Chevy Uplander, 2005 chevy uplander, chevy uplander

Question
Hi Todd,
A rear shock on my wife's Uplander is leaking and making a bit of a knocking noise.  I assume that is a indicator that it should be replaced.  Before I jump into it I was if you could tell me where the upper bolts are located? I've changed shocks on older cars so I figure that this should be just as easy.

Thanks,
Tim

Answer
Hi Tim:

Pretty easy job. make sure you jack up and supoport the rear axle before you remove the shocks. The upper bolt is in a pocket in the unibody. It's not hidden or anything like that it's a pretty straight forward job Like I said jusy make sure you support the axle before you remobe the shock so the axle doesn't hang down to far and the spring fall out.
Good luck :-}
