Pontiac Repair: Montana 2005 speedometer failure, sppedo, exchange unit

My speedo quit working, it shows 55 mph with the car is standing still.  the car shifts ok, cruise control works fine, but needle of speedo is on 110 when we are on the freeway going about 60 mph.

sound like you need a replacement cluster assembly which includes the speedo. If your not experincing any other issues other then the speedo will not zero out at a stop and is skewed hi then the sppedo is bad it's not serviced. you need an exchange unit from a dealer. we don't fix them we order remnaufactured/rebuilt units and install them in place of a in-op unit. good luck :-)
