Pontiac Repair: Cold Temp, auto parts stores, car wont start

i have a 99 grand am es300. when it gets cold outside (this morning was 45 F) my car wont start. it will try to start and once it warms up it will start. what should i look into? thanks

What engine is in this V6 or 4 cylinder? when you say it will not start what do you maean will not crank or it cranks but will not start? any warning lights on on the dash or flashing lights? if so I would stop by one of the big box auto parts stores and get the car scanned for codes and see what modules on the car have any codes stored and go from there. I will try to help you from there. good luck :-}
