1997 pontiac transport-Can you put a can of leak sealant in a/c compressor to seal a compressor with oil leaking out of it to fit it?

Don't waste your money those "seal it up products" don't work. if you have a component that you know is leaking in the system replace it. A compressor is VERY expensive and if you try to get a reman unit from one of the big box auto parts stores they are junk.  if you goto a Good parts store like Carquest or Napa the product is better and they may offer a lifetime replacement on the unit if you replace the accumulator problem is that Van doesn't have one it has a receiver dryer which is a major pain to change on that van. same thing just it's on the HI side of the a/c unit. I personally like AC Delco products they are cheaper then the factory part and just as good quality wise. the other option would be one from a junk yard but that is a major un known if #1 it works or #2 if was in a system that was leaking as well and was exposed to mositure in the system being that it came out of a van that had a leak in it as well.
