hi i have a 1998 pontiac grand prix gt and im needing to replace the ignition cylinder because its gone bad and my car has the antitheft stuff in it i was wondering how to reprogram it after the new cylinder goes in

Hi Evan:
if your just replacing the lock cylinder you don't have to program anything. if you replace the theft module that goes around the lock cylinder then it has to be programme. if you just replacing the mechanical cylinder you don't have to do a thing. good luck :)
