Pontiac Repair: 2008 Pontiac G5 GT Key FOB, pontiac g5 gt, ac delco

Hi Todd,
One of my keyless entry remotes failed this morning because the soldering for the battery clip has broken. I just ordered a new keyless remote for the vehicle from the internet. My question is how do I program the new remote to the car? It is a 2008 Pontiac G5GT with 2.4L engine. The remote model is GM/L 15252034.

Hey Ryan:
That is a very basic transpertation car and the electronics are very basic as well which unfortanatly means that there is no onboard way to program the remote. You will have to take it to the dealer or an AC delco repair facility. they have the same equipment we do at the dealer. Expect to pay around $20-$40.00 for them to do it. The more upscale GM cars you can do it onboard though the DIC functions but not one these cars sorry. Good luck :-}
