Pontiac Repair: crank sensor, crank shaft, crank sensor

I'm trying to find the crank sensor on a 96 grand prix. (V6, 3.4l)I have looked around the exhaust manifold and around firewall, but found nothing. Can you help?

which crank sensor are you looking for? the 24X or the 3X sensor? one is on the side of the engine block between the engine and trasnission it's held in with just a single bolt. the 24 X is behind the harmonic balancer (crank shaft) pulley. the blancer has to be removed to replace that one. it's held on to the engine by 2 small screws. good luck :).
