Pontiac Repair: Heads up display, grand prix gtp, pontiac grand prix gtp

Question
QUESTION: Recently my heads up display just stopped working.  I do not know much about cars but I learn fast.  I have checked all of my fuses and they are all still good.  Would you recommend trying to replace the HUD unit myself or take it to a dealership.

ANSWER: Hi Edward what year and model car is this? has anything else quit working or just the HUD?

QUESTION: sorry i have a 2004 Pontiac grand prix gtp...and that is the only thing i have seen that is not working i did attempt to start the vehicle at night to look to see if i can see the lights as others noticed theirs had just fallen but i have no light at all

Answer
If that is the case I would assume the HUD display is bad but there could be an issue with the image adjusting switch. I can't rightly say that I have ever changed an HUD unit in one of the newer bidy style G/prix's. If I were a guessing Man I would say that if you nevr touch the iamge adjusting switch and it just quit out of the blue then  it would be the HUD unit it's self. but if you have different drivers of the car and the switch is being used for every driver change back and forth I would lean towards the switch. good luck :)
