Pontiac Repair: 97 sunfire hvac fuse, fuse block, trunk deck

Blows as soon as I turn on the key even with the temp control removed.  Is there a common place for there to be a short.  Thanks,  Dennis

Hey Dennis:

well it can be a lot of things. You didn't mention it but if this is a 2 door coupe there is a set of lamps in the trunk deck lid that light up the word "Pontiac" those lamps are on the HVAC fuse so ther could be a pinched wire behind the lense on the deck lid or any where between those lamps and the fuse block. there is no common pinch area on these cars that I can say to look "here" and you will find it.  good luck :-}
