Pontiac Repair: 1997 pontiac grand am gtp supercharged, pontiac grand am, fire wall

my vehicle will start, has fire good fuel pump and everything, but then the fuel pump just shuts off and of course the car dies. Whats causing this issue?

Hi Sunny:

the fule pump low spped balist resistor is bad. there is an updated design for it and it's relocated from in the right fender well to up on the fire wall. there is a directions sheet in the new part as to how to replace it. Pretty common issue. Good luck :)
