Pontiac Repair: 3.8 V6 power loss, buick lasabre, mass air flow

Question
Hello I own a 1991 Buick Lasabre limited 3.8 V6, had it since new 258,000 miles on it still runs great up until a few weeks ago. I would drive for 5-10 minutes and then I would experience a huge power loss, to the point that I can't drive up a slightly angeled uphill road. Sometimes this happens after 2 minutes of driving. I pull over shut off my engine or shut it off while waiting at a red light, then start it back up and it will run perfectly fine for another few minutes until I shut it off and restart it again. If I put the gas pedal further down it starts bogging really bad as if the engine is chocking and the car starts to kick kind of feels like it's doing neutral drops. When I slowly let off the gas petal it slowly accelerates a little when I'm hardly pressing on it, just enough to keep the car moving forward at whatever speed I'm doing but if a slight uphill comes up then I would lose speed and go all the way down to 7-8mph max. No check engine light on, no codes, nothing. Any help would be very much appreciated because the problem is getting worse and worse to the point that I am shutting off and restarting every few miles and I can't accelerate to make a pass or even keep up to the speed limit. Thank you in advance.

Answer
Hey John:

Well I would check the fuel pressure when the car is acting up if it's lacking pressure or volume. another though would be that it has a restricted exhaust like a catalitic converter again when it's acting up the back pressure in the system is not to be more then 1 PSi pressure. for sore reason the engine is not breathing either feeding it fuel or breathing the spent exhaust out. one other thought would be to unplug the MASS AIR Flow senasor and drive it and see what happens. that will set a code and it will hesitate from a stop but see if it still lack power if it fixed the lacking power you found the problem.
good luck :)
