Pontiac Repair: 2001 Grand Prix SE, friction material, brake rotors

i drive a 2001 Grand Prix SE and when i press on break it makes a squeak noise and then sometimes it goes on and off it makes a squeak noise when just driving What would be wrong or could be

chances are the wear indicator is contacting one of the brake rotors and whenyou press on the grake the sensor is amking the noise. while driving as the suspension rolls and flexes same thing that sensor may contact the rotor an make the noise. Is is dnagerous not now but if you keep driving it and the pads wear down more there will be no mor friction material left and then it will start ro cause issues and get expensive. Get it looked it sooner rather then later. good luck :)
