Pontiac Repair: 2001 Pontiac Bonneville Trunk release, pontiac bonneville, possability

Hello.  I own a 2001 Pontiac Bonneville SLE.  The trunk keeps opening on its own, about ever minute and a half.  When it opens, it continues to 'unlatch' or make the clicking sound as if it wer trying to open again.  Every time I shut it, it opens by itself again.  Any ideas what may be causing this?

well without out seeing it It could bea few things. the trunk release button inside the car may be stuck in the down "open" position or you could have a trunk button stuck down "open" on one of the remotes. take a look at the button inthe car first and see if it's stuck if not then look at the remotes same thing. the very last possability would be the module in the car that runs the trunk release is bad and keeps "poping" the trunk.
