Pontiac Repair: high beam dashboard light is flashing, dashboard light, running light

hi, so my high beam dashboard light is flashing, but it only flashes when i take the car out of park an during the day. It doesnt flash at night when my automatic lights come on and when the head light dashboard light flashes it triggers the service engine light to come on.  When its not flashing the service engine light is off. Please help me.

is this a sunfire? If so the issue is more then likley a bad forward lamp harness. ther are several splices in the head lamp wiring atht go bad the elements wick their way into the wire harness and the splices corrode and either brak the connection to the lamps or caue enough reistance that the day time running light quit working and that is why the lamp is flashin on the dash and the service lamp to come on. the headlamps and daytime running light use the same bulbs and that is why you have an issue with the headlamps as well. good luck :)
