Question
Hi thanks for the help , I have a 2007 G6 hit in front I
replaced the seat belts air bad left had the control reset
it is still giving me a Boo 85 code. i checked the wires are
good front to the control , swapped the front censors and it
still says left is bad  i called the guy that reset it , he
says its not the control its the car any help please. Bob

Answer
Hi Robert:

that code is pretty straight forward first off you need to make sure the wires are not crushed to the sensor then you need to check the wiring from the sensor to the SDM (air bag control module) make sure ther is not an open, high resistance or a short to ground in either of the wires going to the sensor. if not then the service manual states the side (door) impact sensor is bad not the (front) sensor. if the lamp remains on after a new sensor is installed then the SDM is bad. pretty straight forward..
Good luck
It would help if you knew what the symptom code was after the B0085 that narrows down the problem like b0085 06 of b0085 0D etc...
