Pontiac Repair: day time runing lights, gm dealer, last legs

2000 sunfire lights flash then go out and service light comes on and low beam lights do not work

it's could be a few things either a bad bulb(S) but if they quit at the same time not likley. More likely is a bad forward lamp harness. I see your from Canad so you get the same kind of weather we do here in the northeast and it's very common in thatcar there are splices in the wire harness that the elements get into the harness (moisture) and salt from the winter and cause the splices to corrode up and the lamps quit working. If this car is in good shape and you plan on keeping it get a new forward lamp harness put in it from a GM dealer. It's a dealer only part but it's pricey. If the car is on it's last legs have someone "try" to repair it for you but a repair on these only last a short time and then your back to the same issue again. good luck :)
