Pontiac Repair: Pontiac G5 traction control, traction control system, pontiac g5

Question
I was just driving down the road and my traction control turned off and the service traction light notification came on. It also hesitates when I press the gas from a complete stop. What could have caused this?

Hi Jessica:

The traction control system on that car is pretty complex it involves the engine and antilock brakes. If there is an issue with the way the engine is running like a misfire which could be the hesitiation problem it will effect the traction control system as well. I would have the car scanned for codes at one of the big box auto parts stores and see what codes are stored in the negin control module and the anti-lock module and go from there. until you know whta codes are set it's impossable to say for sure what the issue here is, But I'm sure one is effecting the other. good luck :)
