Pontiac Repair: Heat/AC, blower motor resistor, resistor pack

Question
I have a 2001 ponitac grand prix se with dual climate, I have very little heat coming thru the vents no matter what setting it is on, I have replaced the blower motor & resistor pack, have check the heater core & all hoses for a blockage & there is none, it has no heat nor ac, it continuously blows luke warm air...

Answer
Hi Brit:

is this an issue of more no air flow "movement" or just plain no heat at all? when the car is good and hot feel the heater hoses one should be VERY hot so don't grab it and the other should be slightly cooler If that is the case that would indicate good flow through the heater core. If they are the same temp or luke warm you have a flow issue thu the core it's self or an air pocket stuck in the heater core. an air pocket will happen if the system is low on coolant because the heater hoses are above the engine. and the air travels up and into the heater core. does this car have a gauges package on the dash? when the car has run for a while does the gauge indicate in the normal heat range? If not you could have a bad thermostat. You could have an issue inside the heater air box as well but I doubt that usually you have one side hot and the other side cold not just luke warm. Good luck :)
