Pontiac Repair: Check engine light code P0770, tcc solenoid, home mechanic

Check engine light came on and when diagnosed I got: Probable causes are
Clogged or leaky TCC Solenoid
Torque Converter failure
Open or Short circuit condition

trying to find out how expensive this repair would be or how hard would it be for an "at home" mechanic to make these repairs to a 2003 Pontiac Vibe

Well that code may also be cause by a engine control module with is a 8 year 80,000 mile warraty part depnding on the failure it could be a bad ECM and you could still be under warranty??? Transmission repairs esecially internal ones are NOT a do it your self repair. But I can tell you that transmission internal failures on these cars is VERY VERY rare. usually it is an electrical failure not internal. As far as a price tag I have no Idea I just fix em and have nothing to do with how much it costs.
