Pontiac Repair: 1994 Pontiac Sunbird LE, oil pressure gauge, 1994 pontiac sunbird

2.0 ltr. 4 cyl. Oil pressure gauge bouncing from 0 to half way. Where is oil sending unit located and how easy is dropping pan to replace oil pump?

Hi Howard:
it's on the block by the oil filter. It may not be a sending unit if it goes down to zero. Uusaully when the sneding unit goes bad it pegs the gauge past max. I would put a mechanical  gauge on this and let it get hot and see what you have for pressure first before you buy a sending unit. Good luck :)
