Mercedes Benz repair: oil in tailpipe, head gasket, piston rings

Hello, I have a mercedes 1990 190e 2.6 with 220k I noticed oil in my tailpipe not dripping but somewhat liquid, the oil in crankcase looks normal as does the coolant expansion tank there has been a loss of power though,head gasket or piston rings any suggestions to confirm. thanks greg...

best bet do a compression check. if your cylinders are out of wack then I would suggest both a combo. I have a 2.3 and I think my 4 cyl run about 160-188 you would have to check compression results. As far as loss of power you could definitely probably know a little more witha comp test.
The 190e are very simple to replace head gasket. Go to www.benzorld.org if you have any other notices or things to ask. I would suspect a matter of both If your smoke from tailpipe is blue then I would check your air cleaner box also
