Pontiac Repair: anti lock brake system, radiator tanks, pontiac transport

Question
QUESTION: i have a leak on driver side of radiator or hose do you have to take antifreeze tank off to change hose or radiator? is this radiator metal or plastic can you put stop leak in it, 1997 pontiac transport van?

ANSWER: Hi Virdell:

well if it has a hose leaking stop leak will never work. stop leak sometimes works sometimes not depends on the leak and where it is. If the tank is split (Plastic) which is what this radiator tanks are made of and they have an aluminum core. if the seal between the tank and core is leaking stop leak MAY work. you don't havre to drain all the coolant out to replace the hose on the left side of the van just a little bit so it's under the outlet where the hose attaches. good luck :)

QUESTION: i put new brakes on 1997 pontiac transport and my anti-lock brake like not coming up on dash board when i start my vehicle what would cause this?

Answer
It does not turn on with a key on bulb check? Could just be a bad LED in the cluster. nothing changing pads or shoes would cause that to happen. Do the ABS brakes work if you stop on a goove gravel or a wet parking lot? if so then I would just suspect a bad led in the cluster. If not then There could be some sort of a brake control module failure (electrical module) not the mechanical valve.
