Pontiac Repair: 2006 pontiac G6, starter solenoid, 2006 pontiac g6

Question
I have a 2006 Pontiac G6 and i am having trouble starting it... sounds weird but i had gone out with it and did a few things and returned back to my house, well i had to go back out a couple hours later and when i tried to start it, it did nothing. the battery was fine and i even tried to jump start it and still nothing. I also mad sure all electrical connections were fine. can it be the starter?

Answer
HI Joe:

well if it sounded wierd before it quit it's a good chance it's the starter motor went bad. is there any security lamp on flashing when your trying to crank the car and start it? If not I would say it could be a good chance it's the starter. What engine is in this? if you have a volt meter ot a 12 volt test light have someone crank the car and check for battery volatge on the small purple wire at the starter solenoid. If you have battery volatge ther and ir will not crank your going to need a starter assembly. Good Luck :)
