Pontiac Repair: sliding doors on a pontiac montana, overhead switches, pontiac montana

Question
2003 Montana has two sliding door and both of them do not close properly.  They close all the way but do not fully latch (the doors pop out slightly so the door ajar light comes on).  I have to manually close them, then they fully latch.  I have cleaned the contact points and made sure there were no obstructions that would hinder the door closing properly.

Answer
Hey Troy:

do the doors open and close okay with the power option turned off? They do not bind and open and close easily? The lathes are not gummed up or bind? If so fix that first. Then thy this make sure the contacts are "good and clean" use a brillow pad on the plungers and the contatcs. then apply a product called dielectric grease to the plungers. turn the doors off on the overhead switches. pull the radio fuse in the under hood fuse block and wait a couple of minutes put the fuse back in. tune the van on fully open and close the doors 2 times with the switches still off then turn the switches on and try to use the power option and see what happens. good luck :)
