Pontiac Repair: issue with blower/headlights, amp fuse, fuse box

Question
this question has been asked before. an answer was given, but it wasn't very clear about what to do to fix the issue. the URL for the original question is http://en.allexperts.com/q/Pontiac-Repair-828/Electrical-problems-1.htm
I have the exact same problem.
I have a '99 Grand Prix SE.
I just need to know if I need to replace my ignition switch, or put in a higher amp fuse, or something else.
I do have a reasonable amount of experience working on cars. and if I can't do it myself, my dad probably can.

Answer
Hey Adam:

NEVER put a higher fuse in anythiung then what the ckt. it rated for! If you problem is the same as the related link it's either a bad set of contacts in the switch or a bad power feed to the switch. The power feeds into the switch are a heavy gauge red wire check to make sure thre is full battery volatge on both wires when the key is on If so check the fuses at the fuse box for the items that are acting up or do not work if you do not have the same as what is at the battery you need a new switch. good luck :)
