Pontiac Repair: starter, 1998 Firebird, removing rear bolt, thinkness, impact socket

Question
I am helping a friend remove her starter from her firebird. I have one bolt out and I can't seem to get the second one? It is a 15mm bolt, the socket is blocked partially from the bolt by either the engine or the bellhousing of the transmission. Maybe its the heat shield bracket? Suggestions

Answer
You need to pull the inspection cover off in order to get to that bolt I belive. If it's a V8 engine there is a plastic cover on the side of the block that you take the bolts out and the cover may move out of you way just enough. Alos use a chrome socket instead of an impact socket the wall thinkness of the socket is thiner so more room. good luck :)
