Pontiac Repair: Climate control, climate control system, vacuum hose

Question
I have an 04 Grand Am, it has a vacuum climate control system. I have lost the vacuum and can't switch the location where the air flow comes out. It just comes out of all the vents. I have replaced the control module in the car to no avail. Do you know where it hooks up in the engin compartment?

Answer
Hey randy:

it depends on which engine is in the car. the 4 cylinder the hose come off the throttle body and tees off towards I beive the driver side and under the battery. The V6 the hose I belive is on the back side of the upper intake by the alternator and runs into the engine harness and then under the battery as well. If this car has/had a bad battery acid leaking from the battery eat though the vacuum hose so look there first. good luck :)
